Help! Bathroom Tiles/Colours

We've bought black fittings & fixings for our new ensuite and had thought of matt teal green tiles but our bedroom has ended up being that colour now! So we are looking for other ideas BUT we need to order tiles tomorrow as they need to be here by Thursday (when the tiler is here...we've been so busy that we just haven't got round to making the decision).

Does anyone have any images of on trend bathrooms with black fittings or suggestions of tile colours. We're trying to avoid grey/white but perhaps that's what makes the black fittings stand out more! THANK YOU

Most images are black fittings with grey or white, as you say. I found these images which are a bit different, but I’ve struggled!

Thank you so much - yes it seems that most go for a white look with the black so perhaps we need to consider this and add colour in other places! I like the blue above though that's nice. And perhaps it's more about going for a herringbone style or hexagon to make it feel a bit different with a white/grey tile.

Hi there, We have an assortment of floor tiles that you could choose from! I'd recommend any colour that's darker than the wall tiles, as it should mean you won't find yourself constantly worrying about cleaning up after yourself.

Yeah, i know re. the plastering but it was a change of plan with the tiler on site. It was going to be fully tiled and i changed my mind that morning to have it 1/2 tiled. Plasterer is finishing off tomorrow. On the wall colour, i was just going to paint it pure brilliant white first (as an undercoat) and hopefully getting rid of the plasterboard green would give me a better idea as to colour. I was thinking a duck egg blue might work (which funnily enough isn't miles away from the plasterboard but a little less green). I'm just not sure.

I think everyone will have a different opinion on this. Me, I prefer shower panels. I have Nuance by Bushboard in my shower cubicle. Soooo easy to wipe down and keep clean. However I didn’t remove all the tiles that were already in the shower room as they were neutral and half way up all around the small room. They don’t get ground in muck on the grout like a shower area does. I don’t like to see a bathroom/shower room tiles floor to ceiling. You do need in all the way up in the shower cubicle area, but it’s not necessary everywhere else which then gives you the opportunity to add colour with emulsion. In a few years time when you have to decorate you can just paint the top half which will make it feel as though it’s had a change.

Decision made! Update to this is that we've gone for Terrazzo tiles on the floor and halfway up the wall and are adding some colour in the shower area with the same configuration as the blue tiles above! Will try and remember to post a photo when it's finished.

This is what we're going for - the terazzo are actually 600mm x 600mm (these are just small cut samples). Will post a pic when all tiled/finished.
