How can I decorate the wall above my bed that is off center?

My bed is off center to the wall. I can’t move it around much because of where the outlets are and where the cable to the modem is plugged in. I want to know with visual examples of how I can decorate the wall above my bed without it looking disproportionate because of how the bed is off center. I tried moving the bed to be under the window but the headboard is higher than where the blinds hang, and I can’t replace the blinds because I’m renting.

Also, if there’s no way to decorate the area above the bed due to the asymmetry of the layout, how can I decorate the nightstand to not make the bedroom so boring?

I live in LA, so I can’t have anything to heavy on the walls in case of an earthquake. Are canvases too heavy?

i think that's better that is off center so you can put a chair in that corner or a mirror.

you can try to put moldings or 3d paper.

A canvas should be light enough to hang above the bed, and as long as you centre it above the bed and not too high up it should look fine😀

No. You can have panelling that goes two thirds the way up the wall topped with a shelf (like an upside down skirting board if that makes any sense). You can also have it over the panelling in line with a horizontal board. There are lots of different versions.

That is a lovely room. You already have elements such as the sofa, cushions and blankets there that can influence your choice. Even the brass of the lights could inspire. I agree the mirror doesn’t work. I would be inclined to find it a home elsewhere. I like the wall lights either side and wonder if a very long narrow painting or textile such as a rug might take your eye up to the ceiling. You have some geometric blankets and cushions that may help guide you. Or go for a Persian runner. Have you tried the Farrow and Ball website for inspiration? They have lots of paint colour suggestions and palettes to choose from and images of amazing rooms to further whet your appetite. They even offer a consultation. Earthborn is another good site for ideas.

My bed is off centre. I just painted the wall behind it a darker hue then placed a canvas above the bed, centred over the bed.

Ours is off centre, but that’s because of the door opening so it’s not that obvious. We have 3 frames hung in a row above bed. You could add a small chair or free standing tall mirror in the corner

You can't move the bed because of cables?

I'd centre the bed, get longer cables if needed, pull out the bedside units if needed to give space for modem etc.

The socket can be located between the bed and the cabinet to move the bed and bedside table
