Bathrooms Design Dilemma

No mirror above sink!

Just purchased a new property, ensuite bathroom has no mirror above the sink and is in a bit of an odd place to add one. Can anyone suggest a solution, thats not one of those pull out round shaving mirrors?

Is the wall area to the left of the sink wide enough to fit one?

It is, however its a sloped wall.

I don't think your mirror needs a border- just order bevel glass and get the glass company to install it for a beautiful finish. Alternatively hang a mirror with an ornate frame As far as building out into the room so that you can have cutouts by the sink and the shower..... It seems mad to make a small space smaller. I think you should stick to one metro tile. Tile the floor in wood effect tile as the length tricks your eye into thinking the room is wider. The mirror idea works and of course you don't have to have just one. Floating sinks and wc help you see more floor which can help. You can also add floor level lighting too. Lastly small spaces demand that you consider the storage- I would have a sink set into a vanity with drawers under.

Hi there, do you have any images or a rough layout of what you currently have? Everything you have asked for is do able its just looking at space for a concealed cistern/frame for the w/c and what need moving/stud work needs to be incorporated. If you can send some over i'd be happy to have a look and give you rough estimate (will just help you with final decisions).

Then perhaps a long Mirror on the bath wall where the heart shape currently is?

Is their scope in your budget to fix the problem by moving the basin to the space between the loo and the shower? It would be a much more sensible place for it.

I did think this, would be quite cramped in there though, also I think this is a last resort and costly one for just a mirror. Thank you though.

True, I like this design however I don’t see how it would work in a sloped recess

You could just cover one of the windows in reflective film. I've seen people use it to hide TVs behind mirrors. Not a perfect solution but cheap and DIY-able.

Get a wall mirror cut to fit the wall above the bath. They always look stunning.

Our bathroom is similar in layout to yours , with a bowl under the dormers . We solved the problem by having a vanity unit built in with room either side for free standing mirror , soap etc. We also put a long mirror over the bath . It works well . I hope this helps .

I know you said no to shaving mirror but they do come in different types. Expensive ones might still be cheaper than moving the basin.
