Victorian leaded windows - condensation!!
Comments (6)I only have an issue with our bedroom which has extremely thick curtains (others either have blinds that aren't shut or a couple have solid shutters). I've got Venetian windows so security isn't a risk but we've found leaving the windows slightly ajar throughout the night when we remember (!) completely prevents it. That may not be an option so you should find that if the heating is kept at a low constant temperature it will prevent it. What type of window treatments do you have? Comments (6)In my experience - these type of windows work well with curtains that, when open, sit on the wall not in front of the window - or Roman blinds positioned above the window, high enough for the folds to be on the wall not in the window. This is because, due to the lead, these windows let in less daylight than ordinary windows - so you need to make the best of any light that does come in by not covering with fabric - so oversized rods and more fabric if doing curtains and longer romans! I’ll try and attach a pic…...See MoreMichelle Condie
