Can our home fulfil our specialised needs?
Comments (12)I am sensing that as always, what we all want is one thing and paying for it all is another. With that in mind, how about some modest but achievable changes? Alter the existing bathroom by removing the separate WC and Block up that door. Make that space the walk in shower with a glass panel and now you can fit a solid polycarbonate shower floor that fits flush with the tiles/floor covering. With the separating wall removed, reset the WC pan and redecorate the bathroom to be one harmonius but useable room. Next, remove bedroom 3 completely and use that space for a new staircase up to a loft conversion. In the loft, simply board and line out the loft space leaving the roof as it is and fit several Velux roof lights. Make the space to a large bedroom and an open plan ensuite with a bath and source a good long one for you to enjoy. Have a Velux above the bath, another over the stairs and maybe one or two overhead above your bed. Now outside, a new, full size and vaulted roof conservatory full of light and space opening onto a new wide patio. As for the front door...costs mean it staying where it is but a new path and fence would help and carry it around to the patio. It is not the most perfect plan and will still cost a good £40/50,000 but it would make a big difference. Remember door widths in all this for future convenience..my Dad was in a wheelchair and it was a big help. So....I hope this gives a few more ideas without being impossible to implement!...See MoreI need some things to complete our bedroom!
Comments (41)I would put the pair of glass candle lamps together on the right side chest and opt for sidelamps with more oomph - something bigger and squat. You could also add other ornaments in different heights grouped together - don't split matching items too symmetrically, balance is key but symmetry may be boring. A geometrically patterned rug or two will look nice alonside the bed and/or at the foot of it. A narrow console unit would look nice beneath the tv; you could go for vintage as your style is very simple. Don't be afraid to dare a little - playing safe is not always the safest!!! Add a comfy reading chair with lampstand and cushions and a footwarmer or plaid on the bed and some more wall art - the heart is a great start but add more. Think layers. You have a great basic palate to funk it up a lot!...See MoreWould love some feedback on my kitchen design
Comments (32)hi, my sister in law has a very similar sized kitchen to u and shebhasbso much storage she even has empty cupboards!! she put her sink infront of the windowbwith the hob opposite, to the left of the hob shebhas a tall unit with her ovens in it and the otherside she has her fridge and then 2 base units and 2glass display wall units. on the far wall to the right of her sink she has wall units, and to the left of her sink she has a stretch of worktop similar to ur plan which leads to a peninsular island that steps down from her worktop height to create a table. would love to see some pics of what plan you go with and the finished result...See MoreLooking for feedback on our products
Comments (4)Had a look - and I really love them!! I think they're a fantastic, simple yet stylish product that will work wonderfully well an cool, contemporary kitchens and other spaces. Pricing seems pretty good too. I'd love to see these in a stone-type range (a silestone or other quart-type product would be awesome!) How are you planning on getting these to market? We'll shortly be redoing one of our main showcase handless kitchen displays (doubles as a consultation area), and these would look great there. We may be using Karndean's "Kaleidoscope" flooring product, and these would tie in perfectly (you should check it out!). I'd be interested in a couple of sets to have in our showroom and be able to offer as an "upsell", if you offer trade terms - feel free to get in touch! Caldicot Kitchens...See MoreVicky Pow
