Pendant lights with above island extractor fan

Hello, has anyone put pendant lights above their island, as well as a ceiling extractor fan? We also want big pendants over the table! Any wise words out there?! I've attached our kitchen plan for info!

How big/wide is island? Guessing from pics 2.5m long, 1.2 wide?

If so, you could have extractor above hob and line of lights behind?

What type extractor are you having?

My hob isn't central to island so I have extractor above hob and 2 pendants beside .

I’m putting my new kitchen in next month and like you have my hob in the island. I’m going for 3 large pendants above but have opted for a built in extractor in my hob. It has the option to be vented or recirculated and you just clean the filter. This could be an option if you think extractor plus pendants might be too busy.

Hi Victoria, It would not look odd at all, if anything it will add to your kitchen. Just make sure you choose a pendant that is adjustable in height. Here are some options. The Pooky website had loads of lovely lights. Wow! I also received some suggestions on another thread. I trawled through lots of websites today! I combined some ideas into a collage. Any thoughts? The dark pewter pendant is what I'm trying to co-ordinate with (I love the matt grey finish and its shape), whilst not losing the light airy feeling of the new living area with it's pitched roof, and large windows/doors. Hence why I thought about a glass pendant. But using glass pendants was just an idea. I'm open to other ideas. I also wondered if I should look at some "Hamptons style lights"? I like a timeless, calm, look.
