1930's Loft conversion - Is bigger en-suite possible?

Hello, We have started looking into converting our loft and the loft conversion companies who have been around to quote for us have all come back with very similar drawings - large master bedroom with small ensuite above existing bathroom. Does anyone have any experience of a loft conversion on a similar house (3 bed semi-detached 1930's property) and has been able to accomodate a larger bathroom? We were wondering if a bathroom the full length of the roof on the eaves side would be possible or if there was a reason the loft conversion companies don't want to do this?
