Complete Apartment Renovation Before and After (on a very low budget)

A few before and after photos of the 2 bedroom apartment I have been working on. It had been empty for a while, and was covered with drab textured wallpaper everywhere, but had great wood floors and potential. I've removed the plaster in the living room and south bedroom to expose the brick, rearranged the bathroom and added a new vanity unit, added new lighting and sconces and turned the place around on a very tight budget. The furniture is a mixture of old vintage items from second hand furniture warehouses and modern essentials from Ikea, the living room and bedroom are painted in Dulux Chic Shadow Matt and the woodwork is Brilliant White Eggshell, hope you like it and get some low-budget transformation ideas from it. I'm sure your house is going to look exactly how you'd like it and you'll enjoy it even more knowing how much thought you put into every little thing you've chosen. The jellyfish are mushrooms :)) My hubby and his brother love Susan Derges' photography (me too now!) - the mushrooms were bought at an auction. If you look again at the pics of our hallway, the blue print there is one of her camera-less photos; also the girl with the drops of water that's in front of the plant in the living room; as I said, we are all big fans of her work here :)) My brother-in-law spends most of his days on auction houses websites or browsing exhibitions... usually artnet is a good place to enquire about her photos http://www.artnet.com/artists/susan-derges/2 To be honest, until I met my guy and got sucked into 'the world of originals' (ha!) We actually finished renovating and sold the flat in January 2017 and bought a farmhouse in need of full renovation! Funnily enough we've just been doing more bathrooms - turning one very large bathroom into an en suite and bathroom. Comments (5)Are you looking to apply a Georgian style to a modern plan? or are you wanting to use Georgian design ideals to re-plan the house in a thoroughly Georgian style? Also are you wanting an authentic Georgian or something more like 18 Folgate street in Spitalfield? (video below) its a method you could employ to great effect, its not an 'authentic' house interior but it does have a much stronger feel about it. Its a house I've loved for decades. It sounds like you will need at least an architect, landscape gardener and interior designer to achieve what you're after, you'd be best to find ones which actually love and specialise in the style rather than ones that will pay lip-service to it....See More
