Screws in stone

Hi allThere was a rotten wooden fence in our property which had been screwed into the stone. Any advice on removing these without damaging the stone?Kind regardsJames

When you say hang jewellery / does this mean the one with the rear view has a sticky out front bit ?! (Sorry it's not relevant - just curious !!) - you could probably use them individually with a fixed perspex safe and strong thick top that could be screwed on or make an interesting larger coffee table - again with strong Perspex top screws into place then I'd imagine

I have Brazilian slate. I had same issue when installed. So i used brick and slab cleaner from screw fix if i recall. Will add a photo of each i used in a bit. I then sealed them using a cheap slab sealer. Perfect, nothing wrong. cost about 20 quid for botha and 5 litre cans. They are now water proof, but slippery when wet especially with flip flops. opps.. Remember, if you need to allow soak away, you may not be able to use sealer as it creates a water barrier. but if its just in the garden on level ground sloping away form house you should be fine to go. As soon as dry, they are as good to go as before, but clean remember to let completely dry and needs 24 hours of good weather to dry. Use at least 2 coats. works a treat.!!!

Stone wall needs a skirting board.

The best way would be to use a grab adhesive. The thing is, you need to cramp the board in position once you have applied the skirting to the wall. This can be done by using 2 x 1 and staffing it off the opposite side of the room. If the wall is not straight and it needs fixing at certain points I would use a masonry drill and then plug and screw. The wall will need to be drilled with an SDS drill. This drill has percussion action and with a nice sharp drill bit (it's the best way to drill stone). Hope this helps.
