what tap with a satin finish sink?

I'm looking at getting the Cooke & Lewis apollonia 1.5 bowl sink, but it's a satin finish (matt) so would look strange with a chrome tap I think. But I'm struggling with what tap to get that would look best? I want a mixer swivel neck. sink

Wickes have got a brushed finish one and a black one that may fit the bill? I’ve just ordered this one is chrome.

I like No2 simply because the end nozzle looks as though it has fewer grooves and other kitchen yuck catching spots - lol, that's just me. Quality-wise, have you copied and pasted the item names into a search engine, added the word 'reviews' and hit enter? I do that a lot on things I find on Amazon, and I've seen a lot of those things skyrocket in price only because as 5* rave reviews increase the seller (including items sold by Amazon) bumps the price up accordingly. Running a 'Net search brings back interesting results (verifying or negating the rave Amazon reviews) and I've seen good comparison sites - sometimes the price is so good I then do a search on reviews of the better priced non-Amazon seller. Surprise, surprise, some of those better priced sellers have very bad reviews for items arriving broken and Customer Service less than helpful. Agree with the others that when it comes to taps it pays to pay to avoid being hit with another purchase far sooner than expected, but I have to say I found a hand wash basin on Amazon for two thirds of RRP, no reviews - we took a chance and that basin is gorgeous. Came with everything needed, installed like a dream. The gamble worked out splendidly for us. And the day after I reviewed it, the seller bumped the price £15, lol! Still a bargain, people are buying it (and giving it rave reviews like mine) even though every time a new rave review is posted the price bumps up another £10-£15.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, we decided to get all woodwork glossed and decided that ss or brushed steel etc would look to dull and therfore chose polished chrome to fit in with the whole shiny/ glossy scheme but I don't think it's worth the effort of cleaning. SS also leaves marks but I've found that finishing it off with baby oil and more recently dishwasher rinse aid detergent (finish) once all the water is dried gets rid of finger marks and leaves it smelling nice and fresh (better than oil)

Thanks all. 1. A carpenter/fitter is coming around on Sat for the kitchen - I'll ask him for a quote for this too. In the meantime, I've been googling/thinking, and saw this from IKEA: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/washstands-taps/wash-stands/fullen-wash-basin-cabinet-white-art-70189041/ (& pale green countertop: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/washstands-taps/wash-stands/viskan-countertop-pale-green-art-70354804) I just need to remove a slice of the base at the rear for it to be level with the top of the basin. Hope that doesn't look weird. 2. Will paint the door frame - satinwood or similar. Easy one, that. :) 3./4. Will look at the navy/teal/dark grey wallpapers and paint. I think a combination of them may look really good. Have requested some samples - just waiting for them to arrive now! Great. Can't wait to get going now.

Burgess Kitchens you just made me laugh! :-) I'm definitely a black black girl normally but in this case i'm leaning towards the tin man look (brushed steel tap and satin finish sink), not generally a good fashion look but hopefully the kitchen can pull it off!! I know both will look good but as Colourhappy and Forzaitalia mention I think the brushed steel option will be timeless. I genuinely can't believe how many things i have had to consider when choosing this kitchen, its mind blowing but thanks everyone for your input!
