Kitchen Upstand, Glass Splash back and or Both!
Comments (3)Yeah go up to the window ledge. I would say tiles are probably number one and mirror is becoming more and more popular. people tend to have quartz upstand if they're not having glass, mirror or tiles. I prefer it with out upstand on more modern kitchens as I like clean lines running through the kitchen....See MoreSplash back for cooker against a stone wall
Comments (7)Think you may end up spending a fortune looking for a large enough vintage enamel sign. You could always buy a large poster and get it framed instead to hang behind the aga? That way you can wipe the glass down easily. Comments (12)Urgh, I had the same thing in my last house and I was forever repainting it! (And that was with a kitchen paint) What was most annoying is that I had wanted a much deeper upstand ie going up under the window cill, and the kitchen designers told me I was basically nuts and that’s not what I should get. I shouldn’t have listened to them. It’s fine elsewhere but the sink (and I didn’t have a bowl in it, ha ha) was a mare! You could get another section of the upstand cut to fit into the space. Or some heavy duty wall paint designed for wet areas. Or subtle mosaics perhaps...See MoreKitchen window without sill
Comments (14)Hi all, sorry to resurface an older post but if anyone has any more pictures of a kitchen window without a sill, could you please share those? I think it would be much more convenient, easier to clean and give us more space but my other half is not convinced. His main concerned is that the window area will get "flooded" with water and will look odd/unfinished. For those of you who have that configuration, is that an issue you faced? Advices and pictures/examples would be really appreciated. Thanks...See MoreLaura Desborough
