Dining / living room layout help!
Comments (3)If you are thinking of having a TV in the sitting space you may want it in the interior of the room (opposite of the doors and windows) where you will get less glare from the light coming through the windows. That is assuming there are no (or few) windows on the other side (it appears darker where the photographer is standing). If no TV then I would consider were I (and guest) would spend more time, sitting area or dinning table? And would put that near the doors looking out into the garden....See Morehelp with living / dining room layout open plan stairs
Comments (26)Congrats on making so much of a small space - this really is a beautiful room! I think the first layout or the very last layout (with the sofa against the stairs) works best and makes the most of the space without making it tricky to get back and forth like you said. Have a read of our 'Smoky Neutrals' must-have trend blog, if you have a moment - we think it will be right up your street! http://www.pagazzi.com/blog/pagazzi-must-have-interior-trend-smoky-neutrals...See MoreHelp with living dining room layout please!
Comments (14)Ok it seems I got cut off due to the smiley face I put! Grr.. Basically what I was saying is that we were thinking about farmhouse/cottage style table (small but extending), but I'm worried that it may be too much.. Also we rushed and bought retro industrial type of lampshades (same for both areas), and also our floor isn't wood colour, but it's white/grey kind of washed wood, so I'm afraid the whole look wouldn't look so good with the white floor! What do I do?? Also my hubby didn't like it as much as I did...and I was so hopeful that we finally got a perfect middle.. Anyway, if I swap something for something maybe that would help..? All I want is a nice and cosy, elegant and sophisticated but also comfy and relaxing home..what a headache :) But thank you so so much for every single idea, this really helps to think!!! Thank you!x...See MoreHelp with living-dining room layout
