WALK-IN-WARDROBE FOR HER

Before you design your wardrobe, dont forget to think about:

✔ Full length mirror
✔ Combination of full and half length hanging
✔ Mixture of shelfs/drawers and pull out trays according to your requirements
✔ Narrower shelfs for hand bags or shoes, small drawers with glass top for trinkets
✔ Sufficient lighting- think about mirrors, skylight or LED Light

Hi Patricia You'll probably want to go for some sort of panel system. Please excuse my crude mock ups but just a quick idea of how you could use the space on each wall. Angled cuts always bump up the cost so I'd go for a stepped in height back panel. The wall with the alcove recess you could always have a false panel that can be removed and items you don't use as often such as suitcases stored behind. You will need to either contact a company that specialises in walk-in wardrobes/panel systems or get a joiner to custom make something. Hopefully my sketches make a little sense to you!

Hi! You have quite a big room, which means you could build a walk-in wardrobe with an access to the bathroom. It will make it quite cosy around the bed area, but it will become a very functional space with a separation between the room and the bathroom. It is a bit hard to have a look at the floor plan without actually scaling it, but if you need any help with the layout and the creation of your new walk-in wardrobe, feel free to text me! I am an interior designer and I would love to help imagine that space a bit more into details!

I think there would be enough room, you'd have a 1.7/1m space to stand in, but I think if you're going down that route you should turn the ensuit and wardrobe 90 degrees like this: As you currently have it the ensuit has to accessed from the side of the bed which is not ideal, while the walk in wardrobe is stuck down a corridor with no natural light, and given the size it really will be to small to dress in so any cloths will have to be picked out and taken through back into the bedroom. If you move it like this the window doesn't move (I assume your moving the window from the blue location?) the wardrobe is slightly larger and opens into the bedroom rather then the corridor so the flow is easier.
