Custom Window Planters (in UK)

Hi there,

Can anyone recommend a supplier of custom made galvanised metal planters they have used before?

I have failed to find ready made ones that will fit my bay windows.

Hi Am following this thread with interest - I have windows like this throughout my house and am finding it really difficult to decide on suitable treatments. On the upside it means the house always looks light and airy! We currently have a series of temporary roller blinds downstairs which work pretty well, but in the bedrooms we have curtains - although they now cover the radiators so not keen as a long term solution. Would also like to have blackout in the two main bedrooms. Does anyone know if extra wide roman blinds are available anywhere? We'd like an unfussy look. Suggestions and pics most welcome. Thanks.

I tried colour matching various f&b shades with Valspar professional , some of which B&Q even had a 'recipe' for, but none of them really came close. I ended up buying mainly with Valspar's own professional paint (primer & paint in one) & loved the durable, scrubbable, finished result. They have a fab colour range too & their colour cards are a good size & absolutely spot on to the painted colour. (If you cannot see a swatch of colour that you like, they have an additional enormous swatch book under the counter. Their tester pots are brilliant value for money & a good size too. I also bought Dulux & Crown on the 2 for £22 offer which is unbeatable if on a tight budget!

As other people have said you either choose an mass made product but accept the glass design will be different from the windows or you spend significantly more (getting on for three times as much) to have something made bespoke. Personally I think you can have different glass- the trick is to find either something that looks the same period as the original glass….. or concede that a three panel door likely looks more contemporary than the house and so the glazing can be too.
