insulation behind wooden ceiling....

We have a wooden ceiling in the sunroom that is tacked on to our kitchen. We intended putting some coving on so painted roughly up to the ceiling. However whilst painting the walls I realised there was quite a draught coming through. There is no obvious access point to the roof space, is there any easy way to insulate above the ceiling?
