Best layout for Victorian semi lower floor?

At some point – after we’ve done a loft conversion – we’d like to do a side-rear extension, to make the whole lower floor 3.7m wide (see attached current floor plan of lower floor).
In a perfect world, this would create a kitchen-diner with French doors leading out onto the garden – except we have the main bathroom at the end of the house, which will have to stay on this floor.
Where should the bathroom go, ideally? Stay where it is and extend around it? Or something more creative?
Any ideas very welcome at this stage :-)
