@john clark I have just bought a walk in shower tray with fixed screen with black profile and support arm for £365 from showertraysuk if you are looking for that rather than over shower bath. Like Katie I got my shower (£160) and exposed trap (£45) for the basin from Victoria Plumb, pop up waste off soak.com (£12.99) taps very similar to Katie but with a rounded spout again off ebay (£65) I've not yet fitted my bathroom but I hope it looks as good as yours Katie!!

Hi Sunny, I'm guessing the layout is like this then? Which is why you wanted a 900mm wide shower. I'd actually go with the 900 x 1200 as it's longer and will suit the room better, plus, if the layout is like this, then you have the room for it. Here's a link to all those in that size from Victorian Plumbing, so depends what your style is. Victorian Plumbing. They sell loads, so i'm sure you'll be able to find one that will suit. One thing to watch out for is the size of the basin and toilet. You will be better off with a short projection toilet and don't come out too far with the basin either as the space to exit out of the bath will be lessened. Regards to flooring, tiles etc, that's personal choice. What style do you like, what colours do you like, and most importantly what is your budget for the project?

A Water softener and underfloor heating can help with drying these areas and obviously a good extractor fan too . I find grout always lets down a design like this as it ages quicker than the tiles - so maybe consider a composite or mermaid board type of covering instead.

We did exactly as you are proposing and when we took away the shower glass/frame, discovered that the holes left were actually very neat and small. We changed our shower base to a large oblong as the room size could take it and changed the screen to one large frameless screen. We simply filled the small holes in the tiles with a color matched grout, and they were virtually invisible, possibly helped by the fact that I think the eye was drawn to the larger glass screen and the greater simplicity of the lines.
