Linen curtains and lampshades- too much linen?

Does anyone think it would be linen overload and might look too much to have 2 pairs of linen curtains with 2 table lamps with linen shades and a floor lamp with a linen shade, all in one room? It seems like the linen fabric would work with everything else but not sure if it would be too much of the same material in one room. Any opinions?

I really like it, but I think mix up the lamp bases so it’s not all one colour? You could have brass bases, or wood, or even black to add some interest. Like this

Two of the lamps are for side tables at either end of sofa so would like them to match - was going to keep it simple with black slim bases on all 3 lamps as there will be enough different metal finishes in the room - pewter mirror, antique brass studs on sofa and black door and window handles, also black and crystal statement ceiling light. Do you still think I should mix up the lamp bases? Was thinking more about all the linen being too much?

Tartan, glossy hot pink stripes, orange elephants, ethnic stripes, bizarre patterns, we have 'em all. And some white too. The white is the highest quality cotton of all of ours so somewhat luxurious in feel. But, we discovered that white must be washed quite often (ie more than once every 6 months) or else the pillows go yellow. And of course you ought not to bleed or spill red wine on it, which is really getting a bit beyond reasonable don't you think... Patterns are practical!

Yes, I have tried linen but have never liked it to wear or anything else. The natural messy look and texture doesn't suit me nor do I like the feel of it although I do have a mid-century chair covered in lemon-lime linen. I like it on some other people and I can understand why some people like it but personally adore the crisp shiny sensual feel of thick sateen sheets ... luuurve the feel so much. Not sure why one has to be better than the other, they are very different and suit different people. A previous boyfriend loved them so when he stayed over he asked me to go shopping with him to buy something similar. Whenever I visit the States I buy myself another set of them or a new duvet set ... they tend to have them in high thread, brighter colours and interesting designs there while being affordable at reasonable prices for the quality.

Yes I think so. Someone suggested a grey linen one not long ago that seemed like it would work well. It's a shame you can't get it any bigger.. It looks a little drowned in the corner there.

Interesting......... I had some very expensive curtains made for the last house which were natural fibres but never hung right. In the next room I had some cheap ready mades from Dunelm that were Viscose and always looked pristine. I think you will be happy with the results.
