Shower panels/tiles?

Hi there - love the shower surround. Can you tell me what they are and where I could source similar? It's hard to tell if they're Venetian plaster or very big tiles!

judging from the thickness (side profile) it is some kind of tile. Most likely porcelain.

I think everyone will have a different opinion on this. Me, I prefer shower panels. I have Nuance by Bushboard in my shower cubicle. Soooo easy to wipe down and keep clean. However I didn’t remove all the tiles that were already in the shower room as they were neutral and half way up all around the small room. They don’t get ground in muck on the grout like a shower area does. I don’t like to see a bathroom/shower room tiles floor to ceiling. You do need in all the way up in the shower cubicle area, but it’s not necessary everywhere else which then gives you the opportunity to add colour with emulsion. In a few years time when you have to decorate you can just paint the top half which will make it feel as though it’s had a change.

We have boards in our shower cubicle. Love it. Wouldn’t have anything else. We have Bushboard Nuance. Not the cheapest but one of the best. Not sure if there’s something of interest on their website

Have you got the name of the panel that you bought? As others have said - they usually go vertically, so your fitter is probably correct. However - I guess there’s always a chance that yours are different. If you didn’t discuss this in detail with your fitter, he’s probably done them correctly. I’ve had a quick Google and have found similar panels to yours that seem to be fitted in the same way with the tiles running vertically.

Such a talking point! A couple of thoughts on other options…. You could try sticking vinyl peel & stick removable wallpaper right on top of the Perspex. I have NuWallpaper in my kitchen as a temporary measure and think it would withstand your bath area just fine. It’s inexpensive and DIY. You aren’t likely to match the existing tile, but you could tile the area in a complementary colour. You could also create a design that incorporates other similar white tiles to tie it all together.
