Hi Shahzaib As a designer I always find it works really well if you can create 2 circuits in the bathroom, one for low level lighting and one for main lighting. As you can see in the first picture below we used Altea Mini uplighters to create the effect for uplighting and floor washing which offers ambient and indirect lighting if you want that candlelight experience. For overhead lighting we would usually opt for downlighters in the form of the Atlas or the Eiger as both are IP44 rated for the bathroom and offer a baffled anti glare light. If you have the opportunity, niche lighting also works for background lighting, please see the second image in which we used the Selene niche led. thankyou. im really pleased with how window seat turned out, i'll be up there with a book and coffee on my day off. :-) Carpet is going to be same throughout all house keep cost down. thick and grey/ silver. when budget gets replenished she wants a bunk bed with desk and seat bed underneath for friends. personally I don't think she will want a bunk bed for long. Getting her to keep room tidy is going to be a nightmare. Paper.......everywhere. notes, drawings etc etc.

I'm glad you like my tweaking. It's not worth worrying too much about the utility room at this point, better to sweat the big stuff. Seeing as this project is still a couple/few years away I now have enough to juggle it all around in my head in the mean time, and much will depend on the budget we have available at that time. I think we can let it lie at this point for now, thanks to everyone for your thoughts and opinions. The only thing I would still really like to know; is if anyone has a recommendation for (free or good value) software that will make it easier to make plans and 3d CGI models. As you can see, I like to work the Photoshop, but it's a bit cumbersome for this type of thing (I've used Sketchup - is that the best?) Andrew
