Help with master bedroom decor please!
Comments (3)Taupe works well with the colours and a trefoils wallpaper (pale gold on creamy background) may look good as the lamps look slightly oriental. I don't know how big the room is but i'd consider wallpapering all of it and adding a taupe carpet. The ceilings are fairly high so hang curtain poles at the top to increase the sense of height (maybe taupe with a black border at the bottom). Add accessories in the 3 colours and maybe try a black velvet chair. Or alternatively a pale blue scheme should work....See MoreHelp for styling and furnishing a new build kitchen please
Comments (32)😂 You're welcome I'm just putting your ideas together in one place! I used the walnut table but as I said before I think it may need a rug against the dark floor but see what you think. The rug size may be do'able (8x10), you would need to tape it out when you're in the house so it doesn't encroach on the bar stool area. I have zero photoshop skills so just chose a rug I could edit in but just to give you an idea (Although obviously the table is the wrong way round!). Maybe have the clock over the table to zone it and bounce some light and some marble and brass shelves would look great by the breakfast bar?...See Moreneed help with how to furnish this space
Comments (6)I would say you’re nearly there. I think it’s quite usual to have a crisis of confidence at this stage! I think the table needs changing - the wood doesn’t work with the floor and there’s no other wood in the room. It also looks a bit lost there. Maybe a rug to anchor it might help although personally I’m not a fan of dining tables on rugs but something is needed. For me, the door being the same colour as the wall makes it more difficult as it’s such a long bare space without anything really to divide it up. So I think a sideboard / storage (maybe tall storage) along the wall to the right of the door would be good, with a mirror / artwork above if a sideboard. Some artwork behind sofa plus either tall floor lamp or floor standing plants would help. The kitchen area looks good so I don’t think anything major is needed there. You could consider some window treatment, even if just decorative to add some warmth to the space. We didn’t have any curtains or blinds on the windows / doors along the back of our bungalow for 2 years after renovating as we weren’t overlooked but when we finally chose some, it instantly made the space feel more cosy & homely, so maybe something to consider....See MoreHow to decorate/furnish this through lounge/diner?
Comments (21)@sonia I'm leaning towards grey walls too. My bedroom is going to be goose dawn and teal tension (I think!) so I'm wondering about doing the living room in the same greytl bulk buy paint! It's a bit darker than polished pebble though. I like those pics and I have a rose gold standing lamp already... Here with my desk (grey and rose gold)...See MoreVictoria
