Help with worktop colour and general colour advice please.
Hi
I always seem to do things the wrong way round and find it really hard to picture things in my mind. I decided to paint walls of new kitchen a duck egg blue and have pale grey cupboards but now trying to work out if I did the right thing and what colour worktop to go with these already established colours. I should have planned the whole thing first but didn't do this. As you can see have dark window frame. Cooker and hob black. Thinking black sink?
Does anyone have any ideas/advice for me? Thanks in advance.

Comments (10)Hi, I actually like it the colour it is. I love Farrow & Ball colours! But if you fancy a change, have you thought about just re painting the island units as a bit of a contrast? Maybe in a darker grey colour? Comments (1)Your choice of kitchen looks great. I like the worktop you've chosen but think that a whitish worktop would contrast nicely on the grey but also match the colour of the wall cabinets. Comments (19)So sorry I did not update this sooner. Strangely, I have turned into more of a shower than a bath person since the rain head went in the ceiling. After a solid month of use, we did have one leak behind the shower (just to the left of controls) which the water ran under the bath, through the radiator boxing that you cannot see on the right of the photos, and drenched the hallway. I cut a tile section out, husband fixed his leak, and I made a removable panel in the wall, but not so bad, you would only see it if you knew to look. I still have a little tiling to do around the radiator boxing, but it has kind of turned into a case of manyana now it is like this! It was proven that 3 women can get ready in here over Christmas, and now have a laundry basket behind the door. HOWEVER... 3 years agoMy kitchen is painted a duck egg blue too. I have cream units, oak worktops and a white ceramic sink. I agree with colourhappy to get the kitchen fitted, fit the worktop and sink then look at painting the walls, although your wall colour is soft and will probably go well. I’d go for a white worktop, with veining if you want some pattern, then go for a white sink. Black just wouldn’t go with the soft colours and they never look clean, especially if you have hard water. Although I love my duck egg walls I’m going to paint them F&B Oval Room Blue, which is a darker version. Just fancy a change! This is a corner of my kitchen.
