help with herbs

Hi, I have redesigned my front garden earlier this year as a herb garden with a water feature and a small camomile lawn.
But it all seems a bit of a mish mash with no structure. my aim is to be wildlife friendly and low maintenance garden, however some of my favourite plants are high maintenance eg: borage, mint. I love echinacea and alliums which i have had ample of, but don't seem to flow very well.
Any advice will be appreciated
