please advice about Front door -colour and style

Tudor style house and we are extending the porch
Please give advice/ideas regarding front door - what colour and style will suit.

You mentioned extending the porch - do you have the plan or exemple of what it will look like? Difficult to advice otherwise

Thank you sort our stuff, I think that is why I was having difficulties in deciding what to have as the inside is a complete blank canvas. I think I have settled on the attached as the front door. Undecided on black or blue. I really like some of the modern ones but worried they would look too modern for the house. I will have a glass panel above the door and to its left. Also attached the internal doors I am considering. Thanks again for your response

Anything can be done - but just check price against another door before you commit. As for glass - looking at the small picture, I assume this is a Victorian house (or similar), in which case stained glass would look fantastic.

Hi Kara, hmmm it needs plants. How do you feel about removing some of the block paving around the edges to create planting pockets? You could create a border at the front, to the left and under the front of the house, then fill it with planting. If thats too much, just remove some of it, mix in some compost with the soil to create a good start for any plants. You could plant lavender if it’s a sunny spot, Hebes are nice small shrubs, there’s loads you could plant. A climbing rose by the front door would look amazing. These pics show what I mean.

That door featured in the above image is an LPD Door. They are a main UK distribtor and Wayfair just buy from them. We as a company supplied one only last week for a customer. You could look at full glass or half glass. Look at LPD Door website and also J B Kind for ideas. None of them will supply you direct as they only deal with trade but both of their doors are available online through other suppliers. By looking online you will be able to get the name of the door. They also offer a critall look alike door but there was a very long waiting time for this. Just be aware that such a lot of doors are out of stock and if you buy from another company as opposed to the main ones they will not display the amount in stock so be cautious about parting with your money until you know it is a stock item.

You’re keeping the inner door? Would the inner door fit on the porch outside area which would keep the outside of the house in the same colour frames/doors and then have something more glass orientated inside so it’s not dark with the porch added.

I do think that the dark beams aren’t in keeping with the oak coloured windows and doors though.
