What Colour Roman Blind Would You Choose?
Hi and help! Just had our bedroom decorated and need to finish off with some Roman Blinds and new headboard colour. Took the plunge and chose DG TULIPANI linen wallpaper on one wall - which is bolder than I thought. Walls and new customised fitted wardrobe are a Cromarty FB colour. Any ideas? Having blinds made. Originally thought fuchsia quartz by iliv but much too dark now. We need to be muted.
Any advice appreciated.

Comments (10)Hi Gabby, this is always a tricky one and is something I am often asked to achieve. A roman blind on the outside of a window recess will always allow a small amount of light bleed because of the depth of its cassette. Similarly on the inside of a recess sufficient clearance has to be allowed for it to operate effectively. Curtains too allow light bleed above the track or pole and if they aren’t of a ‘puddled’ Design also to a lesser extent on the floor. In my experience the best possible blackout is achieved by pleated Duette blinds Inside the recess. I use Luxaflex blinds for their quality and innovation, their Smart Cord, Lite Rise and Powerview operating systems allow you to get the tightest possible fit inside a recess. Comments (5)I agree it would depend on the kitchen and other requirements, what 'feel' of the place needs to be achieved. Personally I quite like a little bit of texture in the colour, with subtle inclusions not entirely plain, 'Medium Grey' looks lovely I think....See MoreShirley Hayden

3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoIs that pink fabric the colour you were thinking of doing the headboard with? I think that'll look gorgeous. Could you post a photo of it draped on the headboard?
And I'd go for Roman blinds in a colour close to the background of the wallpaper. Since they'll be made to measure, it might be an idea to use the fuchsia pink of the headboard (if you like that idea) as a border on the blinds.
