What is that siding strip?

We would love to do something like this for the clawfoot tub in our bathroom, but curious what that little strip filling the space between the tub and the wall? It would be a nice modern way to move beyond the shower ring

Hi, thanks for your question, this is actually a 'back to wall' freestanding bath, so it has pre-formed edges on two sides and a square corners to fit into the tiling. A bathroom installer/tiler could probably build something to do a similar job to retrofit your bath but I'm not 100% sure. Best Helen

Hi, you can use heatgun for it, it is very slow process but rewarding, you have to make sure that you not going to burn the wood, give a little heat and strip the paint off, or you can try paint remover..

I had a 1930s door dipped and I also have those oily marks. I actually used Matt varnish because it was the door leading from the hall so gets a lot of knocks. Wax is best for pieces of furniture and oil is usually used on wooden worktops.
