Garden - child friendly ideas
Comments (6)I think you have a nice little garden and it is not too big to keep an eye on little ones playing. Firstly make sure your gate and fence at the end is secure...speaking from experience! Both my boys managed to get out and run away when small... I too would keep / renovate the decking (you can get some good decking paint these days that would make it look like new) making sure there are no splintered areas. It would be nice to park the pram in the shade for baby's sleep for now, maybe consider adding a sandpit to the side opposite the flower bed later on? Kids always love that. I would also repaint the walls all round, train some nice rose bushes or climbing plants up the wall from your raised bed. Alternatively use this to grow food, kids love helping with this. Then I would do a grass area, just a few strips of turf would do, in the middle, to soften it up and provide more interest and texture. Then perhaps a path down to the back gate and keep a couple of paving slabs by the gate for ease of access. You could even use wildflower turf rather than grass! Doesn't need mowing, just strimming back once a year, plus it provides easy flowers that will grow and self seed on any soil and pollinators love it! Lastly, its hard to see in picture if that is a shed at the bottom by the gate? If it is, keep it, you will need somewhere to store kids garden toys in the future, believe me!! Hope this helps x...See MoreIdeas welcome for dressing room design

Comments (7)I think your entry is the point which will need the greatest rethink. My first observation is that it is brown, yet your window frames are white so that leads me to think that white needs to come into the framing here and an alternative door style and color would give the front a lift. The front is a modern flat style, not a red brick cottage with period brick detail so the victoriana door style is not complimenting the house. A more modern style door, which could be a natural wood or a modern sagey green color, could bring out the horizontal play in the windows. Once the entry has been sorted, work on your landscaping. Going in a modernist style doesn't have to be jarring, but working in straight lines over the current curvy garden path might fit better....See MoreCurtain fabric ideas
Comments (1)You could go for simple linen curtains which have a lovely organic feel. Or how about ones with a botanical print? Very fashionable at the moment and many suppliers are selling them like Dunelm, John Lewis and Blinds2Go. These 2 are from Dunelm....See MoreNest Estimating Ltd
