Hi,

The sink came from sinkology.com not sure about the handles as the client sourced them . The Tap is Adobe 3 in one tap so boiling water as well as standard , but to be honest we were disappointed with it and I would go with Franke. The worktop is Silestone Dekton and available from freddie@variscostone.co.uk .

You can get gold coloured or brass taps all over, depends on the design you fancy? Matching in the cabinet door handles is an excellent idea. However, they will not go with a silver sink.............swap to white if you can.

It depends on whether this kitchen works for you and how much you want to invest in it. A makeover is a cost effective way to cheer up what you currently have and removing those wall cupboards will make a huge difference. If I was desigining from scratch, I would combine the two room zones together to make a much cosier kitchen. I would keep the sink and hob where they are but remove the peninsular which cuts up the room and put a bank of tall units (fridge, eye level ovens, utility cupboard, pantry.....) where your dresser is. This would pull the table into the middle of the room, making it a much more sociable space to enjoy. There are always a million options and it's hard to know what is right but I would get some ideas of what a new kitchen layout would look like and cost, do the same for a makeover and see which makes my heart skip. I would hate for someone to walk into their new kitchen and flinch at how much it cost, it needs to make you really excited because it's a big investment. I would go with a white porcelain or ceramic sink. No need to worry about seeing hard water spots with them. And you can add some contrast to the monochrome scheme by using brass / gold taps. We had to skip our intended quartz worktops because of timing issues (long story involving family visits and lockdown), but nearly 2 years on we have been very happy with our Duropal 20mm Carrera laminate worktops. I don’t expect them to last “forever” like I might for quartz or granite, but its also nice to not cook in fear of potentially damaging a very expensive investment either.

I went to visit Neptune in Bristol to get some information on having a kitchen installed after seeing the pictures you have of this kitchen. We really like the combination, perhaps it might be worth getting a quote a from you? Martin
