What colour to paint for living room with duck egg curtains?

I am getting a bit stuck in picking wall colour(s) for my living room. We have duck-egg colour curtains, white tv units and cabinets, a dark brown digital piano and stool, as well as two fabric sofas in dark grey colour which in fact look more like dark brown most of the time. Carpet is pale grey, almost silver. The room is south facing so we do get a good amount of sunlight. I think the mixture of white and dark furniture is making things difficult... maybe the easiest way to go is to paint all the four walls in light grey which is the main colour for the house, but maybe it will be too boring! I have had a look at wallpapers for the accent/feature wall but i seem to like those plain colour ones anyway - so may as well just paint it?!

Any suggestions as to what sorts of colour may look good? I have been thinking a mid tone blue (eg Nordic Sky from Dulux) as the feature wall colour and the rest in light grey. I have also considered a teal colour for the feature wall but I like blue more. I don‘t want the blue to go too dark or too light almost like pastel colour. I will order samples to test but just wondered if there might be other colours that I could think about.

I like white walls, but if that's not to your taste, could you post some pictures so we can offer advice.

Hope this gives a rough idea showing the duck-egg curtains, white tv units and the piano with the sofa almost the same kind of dark brown colour, plus the light grey carpet. The walls are currently in magnolia. I had a thought after posting the question, perhaps having one wall in blue would look a bit strange so thinking if I choose a light-med grey for the wall behind the TV and the wall behind the sofa, then an even ligher grey colour for the two remaining walls (around the window and the wall behind me). This way we sort of let the curtains be the focus of the room?

(sorry currently the room is too messy for a photo so I had used an old one masking the family and window view)

Hi Jodie. Do you have a pic of the ceiling? At minimum I would paint the eaves and walls the same colour, if not the ceiling too. painting everything in the one colour will increase the height visually

I've got my tv in a tall oriental cabinet and got the company to cut a hole in the back for cables which might be worth considering for the sky box. I really like the rug and the pattern goes well but is it too much of a block colour and tonally similar? I'm struggling to find a rug ATM and was just playing around with cushions etc in the 2nd pic but I wonder if something in a teal would work better (just personal opinion though)

The curtains look grey to me, but that may be my screen. I really like walls and curtains of a similar shade. Oval Room Blue may go but it is quite a deep shade. Going paler I have Dulux Ocean Ripple in a bedroom and that’s a lovely pale aqua and it goes well with my duck egg curtains and charcoal grey headboard.
