Living room corner, empty space

So, we've recently moved into a new house and begun decorating. We have a small living room/snug where we've got two sofas. We can't really move the sofas elsewhere in the room.I'm looking for advice on how to fill the deadspace between the sofas, which is quite large. Ideally we need somewhere to put drinks as we have a toddler so we're not using coffee tables in the main space.Eager to hear any ideas. I've considered square corner tables, plants, book shelves, sideboards but having trouble finding examples...
