Removing bathroom mirror from wall

I am looking for the best way to remove this mirror from the wall? This is one of my first attempts at DIY!

Depends on the fitting. It may lift off, so grab either side, slide upwards and see if it can be lifted off. Also look inside the cabinet in case you can see any screws.

Thank you. the current tiles in there are really quite big - much bigger than this size on the paper. To be honest I'm trying to do as much cosmetic improvement to the house as possible using as little money as possible so I hadn't thought of removing the bottom tiles and doing that whole wall with this paper but yes I think that would look good, much better than doing half. I imagine we could remove the current tiles ourselves but would then get someone in to re plaster that bit of wall? If so, how long is it before you can paper a newly plastered wall?

Hi. I'm a bit confused, have you bought the vanity and are looking to paint it? Is the rest of the bathroom fitted as you could add brass or copper taps for instance with a matching mirror? Accessories will also warm it. I like a little wooden stool in a bathroom which you can add accessories to i.e. A candle, natural sponge, flannel etc which has some texture. A plant on the window sill if you have one and then nice accessories for the sink and either some coloured towels or I like hammam ones. I've found a couple of pics but they may not post as houzz has issues :( These are using deep rich colours which may bring the cabinet towards you a little. A darker top for the vanity would also work

few ideas depending on whether or not the bottom of your window opens - or if it just opens from the top (above the handle) ? .... 1) suspended mirror ie one that hangs from a rod at the top of the window and hangs down. You can either have a loose fix one (hanging) or one that has a rod at the bottom as well to keep it sturdy. Hanging one would mean you could unhook it whenever you need full access to the window though. 2) sliding mirror. Rail going across the window alcove under the opener and the mirror frame sits on that and slides (like a mirrored cabinet in effect). Bit harder to make/find but could be used like a cabinet as it would hide some products on the shelf behind it. 3) Get a heavy duty extending arm like the small mirror you currently have already, but fix a larger mirror to it. Just one thing that has come to mind, wood can expand and contract slightly so possibly better of bonding some metal flat bar (30mm or 40mm wide, you can get it in b&q) then the wooden frame onto that If you know a local metal fabrication place the could make you a frame from steel angle, mine is u section along the top for hanging and angle along the sides and bottom, I’d say you’d be fine with just the flat bar option above then the wood :-)
