F&b samphire wallpaper & stifkey blue?
Comments (6)I have used "peaceful panorama " from Valspar. It is more muted and "dirty" than Stiffkey. My front room is naturally quite dark, and maybe that affected the colour of stiffkey blue. You might want to get a sample (homebase does F&B) and try in your room... The colour might come out lovely!! I agree with you though, dark blues and copper look stunning! Good luck with your choice! Comments (10)Thank you all for your input. I need to perfect the art of closing one eye to block out other colours! I was not good at this! I think you need bigger sample cards than I used. I couldn't paint on the wall as there's currently wallpaper there. My local F&B stockist suggested Shaded White which is a nice, "safe" neutral I think and as the room is quite dark, it seems to work better than the greyer shades I was trying. I guess sometimes what you want is different from what will actually work best and Shaded White seems a good compromise. I'm delighted to have got input from you and I'll post some pictures later of items I'm considering using in the room in the hope of some more advice....See MoreF&B black blue vs off black kitchen units
Comments (115)Hello! It’s arrived but is being fitted Monday :0) The colour wasn’t quite what I wanted as although it’s not supposed to have any blue in it, if can look blue in some lights. I don’t mind it looking deep navy but sometimes it looks lighter. Will see when it’s all up though as with the worktop on the island and overhang, it will probably just look more black! Bear in mind the company didn’t use actually F&B paints as they mix their own. Definately advises paying for a test door first as they got the colour totally wrong at first (was bright blue!) and it was hard work getting the manufacturers to check it and do it again. They almost didn’t....See MoreF+B pelt for bedroom... will it be too dark?
Comments (10)This was a colour scheme I always liked Not as dark s you want but I always liked the contrast aginst the mural which re me of your quilt ohh, just on another note, I’d not do a feature wall and the ceiling the same colour, id go all the walls and ceiling an off white as an option , all walls and ceiling the same colour as another and just the feature wall at the third, probably go for a light colour on the floor, I like carpet in the bedroom, if going wood floor I’d have a custom rug that would give a border of @1 1/2 foot of the wooden floor all round the room, yes expensive but I really love the look. my livingroom wasn’t really working for me until I had a custom rug done and it so ties it all together now, I have a border all around and the floor showing below around the edge....See MoreRichard G
