fire rated bi-parting timber door

I am trying to source the gear for a fire-rated biparting door to be made from timber.
Any ideas? I had originally thought of using the Henderson Marathon gear, but this only works for single doors :(

Hi there, I personally really love the look of sliding barn doors but they fit in best with certain interior styles (such as rustic), so if you feel it might be out of place in yours maybe it's best not to mix and match. With barn sliding the mechanism upon which the door opens/closes is visible as a bar above it? I've also seen this to be the case in some track bi-passing doors. To illustrate what I mean: Whereas with pocket doors, the mechanism is all hidden as it's entirely integrated into the wall. Overall I think pocket doors tend to be more discreet/less statement making. So I think it all depends on what kind of look you're going for and what will fit in with your interior best!

Without seeing the plans it isn't easy to advise completely, but given your comments Rustumshah I think sliding doors are the best option for you. In terms of choosing between systems, one of the key factors alongside visual appearances is the usability of the doors. They sure look nice but know nothing about them! The one thing to bear in mind is that the companies working with these kinds of small/minimalist frames and huge areas of glazing will have quite specific structural requirements for installation and they'll almost certainly use their own team. So there is an additional piece of coordination work there: in our experience, they sent us a set of diagrams indicating what kind of base, edge, and lintel was required for them to install, our builders formed that, then they came to take measurements before going away to make the sliding doors and door. So it took a bit longer because they couldn't start making the frames until they had exact measurements. I feel like the wait was well worth it. Photos attached (apologies for the garden which is a total disaster and our next project thanks to the builders, not that they could have done their work out front as we live in London). There's the sliding doors and on the left is a glass door with a fixed adjacent panel since otherwise the door would have been 1500mm wide! This was not Maxlight's smallest frame but we were ok with that as the glazing is expensive enough already.

Also had similar issues. To my mind anthracite or black windows can look good IF they are done well - they look good when they are good quality windows with modern flat profiles, fitted to a house which has had proper architectural consideration. The problem now is that all the cheaper upvc double glazing companies are doing them with thick frames and chamfered profiles, and they can look clunky and old fashioned rather than sleek and considered. Our sliding doors only came in 4 colour choices, so in the end we have gone for RAL7021 (a soft black) for those - on the modern rear extension - with RAL7006 (beige grey) aluminium composite windows elsewhere on our 1930s house. The sliding doors are in and the 7021 does look really good, almost invisible as the frames are very slim, and I think it works because it's the very modern extension. The windows aren't in yet so I can't comment on how it's all going to work together. I am keeping my fingers crossed...! Our windows will be Velfac which are alu outside, painted timber inside and you can choose different colours for interior/exterior. They weren't as expensive as I thought they were going to be, so it's worth getting a quote for aluminium composite windows before you decide.
