Mylands. You always regret your economies. I've repainted this kitchen 4X over the years, and last time was in Dulux which wore so poorly. Just custom mixed a new vibrant duck egg to paint my kitchen in marble matt walls, eggshell woodwork, and floor paint. Mylands matched impeccably. It was a dream of coverage, and looks spectacular. The quality of the pigment shows, looks the money, nothing like synthetic mediocre pigments in cheaper paint. It's a big improvement.

Hi, Update on Barn Arch ..... After much painstaking research, eventually decided to stick with the original idea of upvc for the window and aluminium for the bi-folds. Aluminium for the window ruled out as nobody wanted to quote for it - too much hassle to curve the metal apparently! Many businesses told us simply it would prove to be too expensive, taking the decision away from us. Accoya ruled out due to it being a relatively new material and we couldn’t get anecdotal reviews on how it would weather. Didn’t really want to risk paying twice the price of the upvc/aluminium combo if we had to do expensive maintenance work in the near future. Upshot is we’re very pleased having breathed new life into a very dated late eighties feature. Interested to hear your views fellow houzzers. Thanks

How do you keep burglars away from your home during the holidays?

Well one tip I wouldn't recommend is thinking that having a car on the drive is going to discourage burglars - they'll probably break in to nick the keys for the car. I was woken by burglars who had come in my house a few months ago in the middle of the night and they were in my Mercedes on the driveway with the engine running - they just couldn't work out how to release the parking break! I RAN outside (stupid idea) and confronted them and they abandoned the car and ran. The experience was the first time ever I have not felt comfortable in my own house, and the next day I put it on the market and moved area. I did lots of reading on the topic afterwards and it seems like lights on and TV on are still the best deterrents - burglars don't want to meet with the owner during the burglary.

Hi Raiyan. I think you'll have to buy the 'Sliding Barn Door' Hardware and then choose some doors to hang on it. The hardware comes in various lengths and can be bought from several sources, such as:- Amazon sliding barn door system Ecrater Uk I don't know of any doors like that in the UK and suspect that they are not sourced from here. You could achieve a similar effect by buying pine doors & painting the glazing bars black
