Comments (14)I installed a mirror in a 1.5m wide x 850mm high recess, and it looks brilliant. I lined the reveals with mosaic tiles, although kept the cill in a white tile, which now look twice as deep. I also installed de-misting heat pads to the back of the mirror first, which switch on together with the flexible LED strip light which I attached on the 'ceiling' of the recess, against the mirror (having allowed for an electrical connection for both first, of course.) My last step still to do, is to fit a chrome batten to the 'ceiling' reveal in front of the LED strip, so that the light source is hidden and not as 'dotty' and bright as in this photo....See MoreRound mirror or something else?
Comments (12)Thanks everyone! Much appreciate your help and graphics. The fan has to go and will be replaced by something less ugly, all being well, though the plant and shelf idea I like. I'm torn between going for something like 3 photo frames in the 3 rectangular style or a massive mirror to add a bit of drama. The attached mirror would fall over the tile line and maybe break that line up and distract from units being higher than bath. Add a group of silver candle holders standing on the cabinet and everything should look a bit brighter. Wish I could put a sheepskin rug on the floor as a bath mat but that would turn ugly quite quickly I imagine!...See MoreGood kitchen plan?
Comments (108)Thanks so much! I took a look at the page but couldn’t quite figure it out..so the cupboards on the wall are standard wall cupboards (I guess 60cm deep?). The banquet is then built out below that? So there is 60cm of hollow space behind the seat under the wall cupboards? Sorry if I’m asking a silly question! We’ve been looking at building a stud wall to hide some stuff but this could work much better, just feel that the hollow space could possibly be put to use to store something!...See MoreHelen Grützner
