Clever outdoor storage
This forum was so helpful with an ugly garage dilemma we had when we bought our house so I thought I’d come back with another request for help! After getting rid of the aforementioned ugly garage we are lacking storage. We have side access both sides of the house so are thinking of building a brick ‘shed’ down one side of the house to store garden tools, sports equipment etc but are really struggling to find inspiration of what would work. Does anyone have any photos of such projects? Below is a photo of the side access now. Thank you in advance!

There are so many products for storage it really depends on height, width and depth. Comments (2)Some cube units at the rear could work for shoes. Baskets for each person maybe? The coat rail might do better a little higher. I see there is a rack for the iron board, use it to keep that item clear of the floor. Comments (2)Sulking room pink would look great here and give this small space some personality. We recently did a design for a customer and in the bedroom she had a cupboard and in the design we added a shelf with a metal pole underneath. 3 years agoOur house came with a rather unusual shed we decided to keep when we redid the garden. It’s a low brick wall with glass sides and a wood & glass door. The roof is clear corrugated plastic roof. Inside we have a wood counter, shelving, and a beer refrigerator. We use it as a bar for garden parties, our young kids love playing in it, plus it stores our garden cushions etc. I couldn’t find a great picture (and it’s too cold and rainy today!) but this gives you the idea. If you do have purely functional storage sheds elsewhere, you could build something attractive that allows for multiple uses.
