Induction hob to replace gas hob

I want to change our 750cm Neff gas cooker to a 800cm wide induction hob however the cut out in the worktop is not large enough for the induction hob. Is it possible to make the hole larger now that the granite worktop is in situ? The gas hob is only 3 years old and the fuse board was upgraded at the time the kitchen was installed. Is there anything else I need to be aware of? Will the plug socket we use for the gas cooker accommodate the induction hob? Thanks for your help!
