I'm looking for wall lights for a hallway/ reception room which will be on a stonewall.

Hey Gwen, I love the natural stone and wood here! I think our natural copper fixtures would really help made the space pop. We have several wall sconces that don't project too far off the wall and should fit nicely. Please take a look at a few styles we offer below.

Hi Mutaha2010, I would definitely love to see how you get on with dressing the room, so please post up some pics when you’ve finished. With regards to the layout of your room, the positioning you have at the moment works well for the space. However, if you definitely feel like change, your suggestion of swapping the larger sofa position with the two arm chairs would work perfectly. You will create an inviting corner sofa shape with the two sofas at a right angle to each other. With this new layout in mind, I would keep your lovely rug in the same position, but rotate the coffee table so that it becomes parallel with the window and sofa. Decorative wall art pieces are fab additions for any room. A designer tip when hanging items such as pictures, clocks and mirrors, is to keep the measurement from the floor to the piece consistent throughout the room. By using this method, your eyes will be effortlessly drawn around the space. I hope that this helps, and wishing you the best of luck with your project! 2nd reception room through to kitchen

Hi. You could use it as a study with a desk on the wall where the dining chair is and a chair in front of the fire for quiet reading etc. May be useful for when your kids are older. Or a playroom unless you have one? It really depends on what you need the space for. It's a lovely room so a shame not to use it. Could you also post a pic facing the plant

Here are some photos however the panoramic ones aren't very good as the make the walls look curved. The window wall with radiator is the front and is about 8ft wide the long wall with fireplace is about 12ft upto the beam and then another 5 ft after the beam.

Help with downstairs loo and reception layout

I wonder which side is attached and what the upstairs layout is like. I'd be looking at a long term solution and the loo seems to be in the wrong place. Would it be possible to move it to under the stairs where there's storage (or is that a very used part of the family room?) If not would you be interested in rejigging your kitchen to put a larger loo where your kitchen sink is and access it from the hall? That would mean having to move the sink down to the other end of your kitchen and losing the front window.... In terms of the family room door alone, I'd look at taking a little bit of your sitting room into the hall, turn the bottom few stairs towards the front door to allow you to put a fab glazed door flush with the supporting wall.
