How to spruce up my bathroom
Recently moved in and inherited this bathroom. It's not too bad but its just very plain and functional atm. Looking for ideas on how to spruce it up without spending a fortune. Potentially might replace the sink as its been shoved in the middle of nowhere a bit and has no storage so hopefully a decent vanity will look better. Wondered about adding panelling, or painting, but what colour?! a
All ideas welcome...floor, bath, tiles and blind are all staying the same.

4 years agoHi, is it a vintage style you like just looking at the shelf styling?
if so, you could add a floral wallpaper behind the loo (use polyvine Matt decorators varnish if it’s not scrubbable paper). Ignore the paper I’ve added as they’re quite personal! I’ve just saved this vanity due to the colour but something along these lines could work. If there’s room you could add a vintage milking stool at the end of the bath. Towels I’d go for texture, I love anything with a tassel!
colours maybe try a mix of skimming stone and elephants breath for the wall and vanity

Comments (10)Thanks all. 1. A carpenter/fitter is coming around on Sat for the kitchen - I'll ask him for a quote for this too. In the meantime, I've been googling/thinking, and saw this from IKEA: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/washstands-taps/wash-stands/fullen-wash-basin-cabinet-white-art-70189041/ (& pale green countertop: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/washstands-taps/wash-stands/viskan-countertop-pale-green-art-70354804) I just need to remove a slice of the base at the rear for it to be level with the top of the basin. Hope that doesn't look weird. 2. Will paint the door frame - satinwood or similar. Easy one, that. :) 3./4. Will look at the navy/teal/dark grey wallpapers and paint. Yes - mirror is on door wall above heated rail atm. Will be getting a new mirror and did wonder about putting it above the toilet - they're the only places a wall mirror can really go.
