Ideas to minimise the impact of a TV!
Comments (6)And you don't have to mount it on the wall. I prefer a TV standing on a piece of furniture. But that's a personal choice. Neither do you have to paint the wall a dark colour. It does work to camouflage the blackness of the TV, but then again, it also makes the room a bit darker, so you either like that or you may want to keep it light. You could of course also hide the TV behind a sliding panel. I know you have loads of books. You could have a bookcase, incorporate the TV, hang a panel on a ceiling track and slide it in front of the TV when you're not watching. Just an idea... :-)...See Moregive me ur idea to decorate the grey wall its a tv unit with fire plac

Comments (3)Your layout seems well-suited to the room, primarily because of the dining table which requires the central area and circulation space and seating distance around. You could benefit from trying to move some of the furniture around the table. For example, if you managed to move the TV to a wall-mounted position on the bottom wall then potentially all 6 diners could see the TV rather than 3. You could also try to get inbuilt joinery on both side walls and incorporate the appliances. It really depends on how much you would wish to spend on this. The beauty of it is that you are not changing any of the structure so you can try to move some of the furniture around, even pushing the table into a horizontal position.
