I have wood effect tiles in my hall and kitchen, I'm not sure if they are porcelain or ceramic but they aren't holding up too well. Tiny chips appear and it looks like little specs of paint on the floor :( not sure where they come from whether it's when something is dropped on it or a chair scraped or something but I wouldn't have them down myself (they were here when we bought) I have however had Karndean flooring laid in my lounge and that is superb. Not noisy underfoot nor cold unlike wood and laminate so I'm very happy with that. Needs hoovering everyday though, but I have a toddler and a dog.

Good evening Iveta, even we are not based on your area we would love to help find you a solution for your extension and outdoor space. There are multiple options for what you need but first of all there are a few questions to ask. 1. What are you hoping to install the tiles on externally? 2. Do you need a grip finish (advisable with children or if there is chance for build up on the tiles) 3. Are you looking for a 10mm internal and 20mm external tile? I think we have a 300x1200 20mm plank available to us with a 10mm internal option which isn't currently on our website. You're welcome! This is an exciting project and I really hope you'll share the results, whatever you decide to do! I think metro tiles are the right way to go. You've already got pattern and bold colour covered so something more simple is probably right for the walls. Besides, it's a classic design. You could do it with a dark grout if you wanted to make a bolder statement. [This Houzz story[(https://www.houzz.co.uk/magazine/decorating-10-different-ways-to-use-classic-metro-tiles-stsetivw-vs~25104664) about metro tiles shows them mostly with dark grout and might help you visualise it. Marble would definitely work and look incredible. Just be careful to bear in mind the structure of the unit and how much weight it can hold. You have to consider the weight of the surface material, the sink, and the water it would have in it when full. Maybe even think about what you're going to fill the cupboards with and how heavy that could be. Perhaps it would be worth reinforcing the vanity in some way. Other than marble you could use tiles or just varnish the surface really well. All of these options will look great in different ways. Even though you're not DIY-ing it, take a look at this "how-to" to give you a better idea of the process.
