curtain advice please
Hi, I am looking for window dressing suggestions for our new bedroom. Walls are F&B oval room blue. This is the only window. There is no other furniture in the room yet but the bed is in order and has a wooden headboard. I am not great at colour or soft furnishings so any suggestions gratefully received. Thank you.

3 years agoIt depends if you want something to contrast with the walls? I think either the same colour or a natural linen would work. The last pic is oval room blue. Do you want plain or a pattern? Do you have any art to go in the room and can take the lead from there?

I think adding an edge to simple but full linen curtains might be a good way of ensuring they're not just lost in what is quite a large room and I agree with you forzaitalia a pale shade would allow the rug to shine - thankyou so much for your pics and comment. 3 years agoI think a similar tone to the walls would be perfect. It doesn’t have to be an exact match just similar in tone. Depending on the look you want, you could go a plush velvet, or as Minnie suggests a lightweight, floppy linen. I’m going to get my kitchen painted in Oval Room Blue soon and I’ve already put up my curtains! These were ready made from Dunelm.
