Exteriors Design Dilemma Windows

What do I do with the front of my house?
Confusing two doors, but I never use the front one as it is narrow and has an internal door too. Side door leads into the utility and I can leave coats, shoes there.
Do I plaster the front with white plaster?
I need new windows but feel I’ll end up with it looking very similar to what it does now if I’m not careful.

Front: Renew the windows to the main house. Put in some metal frame units. Change the colour. Try Velfac. They do a unit which is timber on the inside. Break up the garage wall with some planting/ shrubs. Possibly more planting around the border of the garden. The flat roof part of the house isn't great - may be add a pitch... Rear: New windows to the main house. I agree extension right across or 2 new extensions that match with a courtyard between with new doors from house. Again, break the elevation/site lines with some additional planting. Pitched roof over the flat roof would definately help here.

thank you tez, I like the porch idea, the entrance would be to the side of the house and if I could afford and permitable I would do a side extension but it's an overkill as the space is enough currently, maybe a small porch style roof over the entry way, I have saved examples of these. I've never thought of using a gate, wouldnt it be a hassle to open and close the gate when parking? but it's a good security feature specially around kids. we need to consider postman too. the side space is being considered for parking as the house entrance is there. and having hedging or planting at the front

Thank you Natalie, interesting how many ppl have said not to render. We did get a quote of £2600 to render the front, which I thought was about right. Ideally I want it to look as sleek and contemporary as possible and the suggestions you say will definitely help with that look.

Thanks very much Carolina for taking the time and trouble to do the mock ups. They really help. I like the orange, green and yellow. Would you do the side double timber gates in the same colour as the front door or match them instead with the oak window frames? Colourhappy - yes the house design is that way. Its ok to say it 🙂. In terms of the front garden, I'm thinking along the lines of a coastal gravel garden scheme with structured shrubs combined with herbaceous flowering/ foliage plants.
