With that said, sometimes the cheapest options are the quality ones (We purchased many high end electric showers with no luck but a more cheaper triton shower lasted for a good 5 years before we removed it to renovate). Comments (3)a 60cm hood will fit in a 600mm gap, in reality the hood is usually about 595 wide, but you won't have any gap at the extractors maximum points, with a chimney extractor, either stainless or with glass, its only a small section that is 595 wide. or you could choose an integrated extractor [which has a matching door to it to match your wall units] and that will fit in a 600 gap and you don't have any gaps either side to worry about. your designer should of gone through the extractor options, the sizes and the gaps with you also be a good idea to decorate the gap before the extractor is fitted looking at your photo, you also need to raise your slot in cooker before use, it should be level or higher than the worktop so you don't damage it....See MoreIsland Cooker Hood
