Comments (5)its a shame that you didn't go for upstands at the time - but its not the end of the World -its personal - but I do not like quartz going up the wall - glass would look much lighter and give a warmer feel to the room Compac is a lovely product So - either do a glass splashback and an upstand in glass - or just put a piece of glass behind the hob and then pain the walls...See MoreUpstand behind hob with tiled backsplash?
Comments (8)Running the upstand behind the hob looks absolutely fine, seen it plenty of times and customers have always been happy, the only slight downside is large pans and woks can be up against the upstand as its thicker than your tiles but thats being really picky. Personnally i prefer this look then stopping the upstand, then stepping back for your splashback tiles and then stepping forward again and restarting the upstand and its easier to keep clean as well with no little corners for dirt to get trapped....See MoreKitchen Upstands Help
