Darken roof tiles

I have had roof tiles fitted and they are brighter than I wanted. Is there anything that I can do to darken them or tone them down. I currently have scaffolding up around the house so this would make things easier.

you could get then coloured with a roof sealer, its normally used to restore colour but I don't see why it couldn't be used to darken them.

You could see if the builders merchant will allow you to return them, for trade supplies they might charge an admin / re stocking fee of c. 20 - 25%. Even with a re stocking fee its probably more than you would get on ebay / gumtree. Regards

I have just installed Marley edgemere. Exact same issue where bottom of tiles have these grey / whiteish marks. Seems to be a common problem and associated with the pallet stacking / transport. havent had them up long enough to see if they will go away with rain / weathering but would be nice to get confirmation from anyone that there marks have now gone.

What colour roof tiles, windows and fascias?

After a delay, now in the middle of renovating the bungalow but I'm having second thoughts about the colour of the windows. Currently have slate grey tiles and white fascias. I was planning to go with white windows (although the fascias are RAL 9010 and the windows only available in RAL 9003, so slightly different whites!), but I really like painswick/agate grey RAL 7038 windows on other properties. I'd welcome any advice before making a decision! I'm also unsure about the render colour for the front of the house to go with RAL 9003 windows. The back of the house is brick.
