Plants you can put in the bed are things like Aubretia (purple flowers that will spill over the edge), Thrift, Hardy Geranium Rozanne, creeping Campanula and Erigeron. It’s going to look amazing! Comments (7)As others have said, you will end up crossing the grass at the easiest, most direct route, which in summer is fine but I still think it’s worth having a path alongside the bottom borders for when it’s wet / muddy. Alternatively, stick with a path across the middle - young children needing a grassy area grow up surprisingly quickly so won’t always need that space. Consider what works for you all in the garden for the future too, not just for now. Another option - if the studio and patio are not yet in position - is to look at the possibility of locating the studio differently so that your main path route is straight across the lower garden leaving a larger lawn area....See MoreTennis Boy
