Love the floor tile ! where did you buy it from?

Hi. Your design looks amazing. The floor tile especially caught my eye. Could you tell me where you buy it from, pls? Many thx.

I'd say we all want to live in that lovely house we passed whilst on the way to go brambling with a jam jar in our hand and high hopes of a good day. Maybe it was the gates, or the gravel driveway that appealed, and it even had stone pillers and Georgian windows . And I'd wait and stare, and wait and stare curious about who lived there and hoping they'd drive out allowing me a quick glimpse of another world. Them. Then I'd feel ashamed stood there in my jumble-sale-new clothes, bothered that perhaps someone might come out and ask me what was I doing. I learnt it was a very rich person home, a shipbuilder who owned a shipping fleet and I wanted to copy him, if he could do it- then so could I. So that man and that lovely house blighted my life for the best, and it still does. I love this house and stop outside it whenever I pass by. I'm heart broken, and I'm a big strong man and big strong men are not allowed to cry. That adopted house is my comfort blanket, my home, and I go to sleep and it becomes mine.This is my lounge, this my garden, this gate is mine, and please come in when you go brambling. Don't walk on by, share it with me, you can adopt upstairs or the fireplaces, or ceiling coving and florals, I won't mind.

Hello Karen, Glad you like the image.. Yes I rather love concrete in the bathroom and kitchen and would work beautifully with marble or the tiles from B&M.... Oh? Perhaps speak to Houzz tech rather than unfollow... I love my followers! Not sure how at all that could be affecting your messages but I hope it can be sorted out.. : )) B&M are rather pricy yes it's not ideal for all clients myself included with trade, it would be nice to see them more affordable for all. With those they are very slightly irregular in shape.. It's what makes them special as they're hand made and normal ceramic can look rather pale by comparison.. I think though long metro tiles are nice too... Perhaps marble metro tiles and with those you could consider a herringbone arrangement which would be fabulous.. I'm thinking of another company now but they are even more expensive than B&M. With a metro tile in marble (Have a look at Topps Tiles but they may not have a metro tile.. they have some really good marble and are affordable. With a brilliant fitter and a good eye you can make them spectacular it's not about the name, the brand it's the quality and workmanship that makes something spectacular.. ... Also for concrete sinks Kast is just one company that manufacture concrete sinks of varying shapes and sizes : ))

Bathroom floors - porcelain floor tiles or vinyl floor tiles?

Porcelain is a tough tile which will not crack or break easily. they are very long lasting. vinyl is out dated and just doesn't look good. Your other option should be ceramic tiles. So it should be between ceramic and porcelain. I'd still recommend porcelain but ceramic is cheaper, that's the biggest advantage of ceramic. I bought these porcelain tiles two weeks ago, they look lovely. beautiful hexagon porcelain tiles

thanks all! The vanity was made to measure. Just a wooden floating frame which we covered in tiles. Couldn't find a vanity to fit as this was less than 300 deep and about 1100 wide. The tiles we got from a company in Preston called ROCCIA www.roccia.com - they also have a place in Bolton but not sure if they deliver outside of the area. The tile was called Pantheon Marble (antique) by Cerim. Not found any other suppliers. Comes from Italy in all size formats. I got the 300 x 600 and they did them for about £45psqm. Similar ones we found from Mandarin stone were almost identical but didn't have quite as many streaks in. In fact I bought a full sized sample and had to use some of it for the skirting behind the WC and you can't really tell the difference at that angle. They are on sale now so a similar price (they were almost £60 psqm when i looked to buy them!) https://www.mandarinstone.com/product/mimica-sepia-grey-matt/ they are mostly grey but in some lights at a certain time of day, they can have just the very very slightest brown tinge but it's barely noticeable either.
