Design Dilemma Renovating Other

Layout advice please.....suggestions

Hello, I am in the process of renovating a Methodist Chapel, it is a blank canvas, but the window location and open area ( Square Hall on floor plan) limit room options. i have tried to include an en-suite on each bedroom as this is going to be an Airbnb, when it eventually gets completed. Any advice on layout options, welcomed👍🏻

You shouldn’t need planning permission as you’re not doing an extension. You’ll just need to ensure new changes (new shower room) comply with building regs with regards to drainage and ventilation. And more importantly have a structural engineer access and okay removal of walls.

How do you plan to use it? How many people typically at a time and each doing what? How do you want it to feel? When you're cooking, sitting on the sofa, eating at the dining table, or sat at the island/peninsula - how do you want to feel at each space? If you can answer these questions then this will help you identify which is better. Jonathan: I'm so glad I asked here as your suggestion is not something we have ever considered before. Ours were much more basic bolt on back extension ideas. It's a really interesting use of space and helpful in making us think differently. Changing the downstairs windows and render seems to make a big difference too. I'm not too worried about losing drive length as it's a little longer than shown in the image but. Thank you very much for your help. Rinked, here is the upstairs floor plan. The garage is not yet insulated so we would lose some width when converting. Ceiling height is 2m for front 1.5m of garage under the balcony then 2.4m for the remainder. There is a 30cm step down into it from the kitchen. Thank you very much

Thank you I like your idea. One thing I had considered is having a large pantry (smaller than the play / office) you have drawn then a small seating area at the side of the kitchen. The living room would be a play / family room and u would open uo the dinning room and what you have marked as the lobby.
