Such an interesting room full of gorgeous pictures and books. I love books! Now colours that I think would look lovely with your blue curtains are the soft pastels - green, pink and pale yellow, but you want a deep cosy colour so let’s move on! I’m a little bit obsessed with dirty pinks at the moment, a world away from Barbie pink so don’t panic. Colours like F&B Setting Plaster or Little Greene’s Dorchester Pink, or Blush which is much darker and cosier. I also like deep stone colours such as LG Roman Plaster, or if you wanot to go even darker, Silt looks nice, very organic tones. I’ll try and find some pics. I’ve no idea how to photoshop, but I’m sure someone will!

Cashmere popular. Mine being fitted this week. I have chosen real wood worktop and upstand. Plain Glass splashback behind hob and oxide emerald green floor tiles. Just for something different. Walks mmm not sure……something muted. Small kitchen but bright! Ideas… don’t hate me re floor 😳

As usually I agree with pretty much everything Colourhappy says. For me the green vanity is too trendy and the taupe choice is more timeless, I also think that a dark colour can draw your eye….. however I disagree that’s a bad thing- in fact I think a dark colour frames everything else in the room and actually not much will be showing since much of the wall will be covered with the vanity, WC, towel rail, mirror. And having had a room that relies on electric lighting I would say the absence of a window makes no difference to your colour choice in fact in some ways it’s easier because the light is consistent. And in my littlest room I have previously painted the walls and ceiling in the same dark colour and found it makes the room feel bigger because you don’t see the corners.
